A Difficult Time In My Life

I'd have to go with now.
Because I feel like life is hardest when trying to raise teenagers.
If you've been there, you know. If you are there with me now, I feel for you. And if your day is coming, take my word for it and stock up on tissues, ice cream and Valium.
Enough said.
I, too, have to go with now.
Trying to raise 'someone else's child' is hard. Please do not take that to mean that I do not treat my step daughter as my own. That is precisely where the issue lies.
And in addition to that, Being 33 and actually wanting a child or children of our own is also very trying.
And I don't think that it is a coincidence that Sarah and I both chose now as our most difficult times.
I think that when you are going through something difficult it seems awful.
And once you've gotten past something you are stronger for it. You are also removed from it and therefore the feelings that you felt that made that time so terrible have subsided and all you are left with are the dulled versions of said feelings.
For example, would you not have thought that for both Sarah and I that we would have called back to our days of going through a divorce and whatnot as our most 'difficult' times? But as you can see here, neither of us feel that way. And I believe that is because we both grew from that and we are stronger for it. And in the end, it was not all that difficult after all.
Same with now, This Too Shall Pass. As they say.
