30 Day Thigh Slimming Challenge - Does it Work?

 
I want to start out with a little introduction to what I intend to do with this post and future related posts. So, here goes:

How many times while scrolling Pinterest or Facebook have you seen a claim that it only takes 30 days or 21 days or 2 weeks, or whatever they claim, to change something? Whether it is a more toned stomach or an eating regimen that promises more energy or maybe a series of steps that will bring you closer to your kids or your spouse, there is a ‘challenge’ for everything. Personally, I see these A LOT and I always wonder to myself ‘Hmm, does that really work?.’ So, when trying to think of helpful and practical posts for the blog, these challenges came to mind. I decided that instead of wondering if they work, I will do them and find out. I will then post my unedited pictures and honest verdicts here so that if you too were wondering, you will wonder no more.

 The first challenge I chose was a '30 Day Thigh Slimming Challenge' that I came across on Pinterest that appears to have originated at Blogilates.com (where she includes GIFs showing how to do each exercise if you are interested).

And, just for the record, here is a list of additional exercise I did during the challenge.

-Day 4, 7, 9, 25, 29 : 3 Mile Run (12 min Miles) 
-Day 5: 3 Mile Walk
-Day 10: 2 Mile Run (12 min Miles)-Day 13: 5K race (Chip Time - 35:33.9)

Thoughts:
-Easy (it took until Day 28 before  I felt any soreness or shortness of breath)

-Not a huge time commitment (10 minutes max, and only seconds in the beginning)

Verdict:
As I think the picture evidence supports, my thighs do not appear any slimmer.
Now, I’m sure my thighs are a bit stronger and as I chose to do my exercises in the morning, it was a nice little boost in activity to get my day started so I definitely don’t consider this challenge a waste of time. But, in my case, the claim that in just 30 days of following this plan you will see slimmer, more sculpted thighs, is FALSE.

Next Time:
Because summer is fast approaching and it’ll be time to break out the tank tops, I have decided my next choice will be a ‘21-Day Arm Sculpting Challenge’ I also found on Pinterest. Stay tuned for the results!
