I Love My FlipBelt: 5 Reason Why

I once ran … for several years … without a FlipBelt. I now regret every minute of it.

I first planned to write a list of 10 things I love about my FlipBelt. But, let’s be real here, it’s basically a belt with pockets, and 10 might be stretching it. So, instead, here is the Top 5 Reasons I Love (like, am totally IN love with) my FlipBelt:

5. Fake a Flat Stomach

Yes, I believe it is important to be confident in the way you look. However, if throwing this belt on during runs prevents the bulgy muffin top look and fierce jiggling left behind after two kids, damn straight I’m going to do it. I’ll probably even fantasize a little about if my stomach was actually still flat and I’ll enjoy my moment of fake pre-baby-belly status -- without feeling guilty.

4. Everything Goes

No more choosing between my phone/music/GPS, keys, money, or pepper spray…because it ALL fits!

3. It Doesn’t Move, at All

Once in place, the thing doesn’t move. Seriously. It doesn’t slide down, it doesn’t creep up. It doesn’t move. Once on and packed, I don’t even think about it for the rest of the run… except for the moments that the realization that I don’t have to think about it causes me to think about it – and its awesome-ness.

2. My Pants Stay Put … and So Does My Shirt

I’m pretty sure the primary function of this belt is to carry stuff, but it also doubles as a ‘real’ belt, like the kind that keeps your pants up. My leggings no longer slide down half-way through my run as they begin to stretch out, or as the weight of my phone drag them toward the ground - And, a run where my pants stay in place is a good run.
Bonus: When worn over the top of my shirt that stays put too.

And, The #One Reason I Love my FlipBelt --

 1. Now All of My Pants Have Pockets!

This is HUGE. I have looked past so many pairs of cute running pants simply because they didn’t have pockets. For whatever reasons, it is damn near impossible to find running pants with pockets. If one wants a cute print or color AND pockets – yea right, not going to happen. But, with my FlipBelt, I am no longer restricted in this way and can buy any and all running pants regardless of their carrying capacity. Let the shopping commence!

So, in conclusion, if you run and don’t yet have a FlipBelt, go get one (wondering where? try here) - because, if you’re running without a FlipBelt, then you’re doing it wrong.
